Announcement Regarding September 8 Class

I'm sorry to have missed class on September 8, due to rain-induced disruptions in mass transit.

I received a sign-in sheet, with about 45 names on it.

Class will resume, as normal, next Monday, Sept. 13.

Then, we will continue with the discussion of Descartes, 'Meditation I'.

I expect that we will make up the missed class on the day following our last class meeting, Wednesday, December 15.

(Remember that the last scheduled class is a Tuesday, December 14.)

December 15 is a scheduled Reading Day, and so meeting should not conflict with other classes, though of course it is likely to conflict with something for some of you.

This is lamentable, but unavoidable.

I will try to avoid teaching new material on that day, and use the day for review.
